Same story again and again with different characters.World The art is weird, strange body positions and ratios The world building is a hot mess, there are so many pieces that come together but not really and are not explained and then pieces just suddenly appear The Dragon comes to mind as a being that was never discussed before in the creation tale and just suddenly appears and is important to the tale, it s this type of slap dash poorly planned world building that is starting to grate me Story The story is the same story that Magi has been telling again and again with magic and living happily together, power and ruling and slaves and classes It s the same story that we just had with the magicians and the same schemes the villains have with pitting races and classes against each other Add to that we have an entire new cast of characters to get to know and read about while there is already the bloated cast of the main story I know this is gonna be where Aladdin comes from but do we need this large entire arc to read cause we know that when the Kou and Al Thaman comes around in that main story the story will be exactly the same.Characters The character, and there are a lot, are okay They fall into the same cliches as the genre has the warrior, the pervert, the nerd, the girl who fawns over the hero There is development, we spend a lot of time with Sheba and Solomon but that speech making her become a love interest is really a stretch and the relationship is not earned at all The stuff with all the magic and the father son relationship is protracted, long and unclear making it really hard to really connect with Solomon or any of the characters to be honest Even Ugo, which was who I was looking forward to the most has barely any story except magic nerd.A hot mess of a story that keeps repeating it s themes again and again with an needless huge cast of characters.Onward to the next book

Still on the Alma Tran arc Forgot where we were, but with this series where I can hardly tell most characters apart, I m used to picking up a volume and rolling with it.

It s getting very dark and I miss some of the fun from the very beginning, but Ohtaka managed to get a bit of fun in this one and the plot twists keep pulling me in deeper.

A review for books 1 26This Manga starts our humorous I really enjoyed the characters at the beginning The farther you read the deeper the plots become Enjoyable at the beginning, and a must read for the later books I can NOT wait for books 27 Characters are real and raw Everyone has there faults and I feel the author artist dose a wonderful job of bringing everyones points of view, twisted though they might be, in to clear focus note I wouldn t recommend this manga for young teens I fine the sexual innuendos pretty funny as an adult, but not really appropriate for younger audiences Also the plot gets pretty dark at times I read the English translation on KissManga.com
